World of Warcraft Addons, Interfaces, Skins, Mods & Community. Download (Retail) Download (Classic) Changelog Tickets Git. Jan 01, 2018  I have been having sight issues but thanks to this wonderful addon I was able to make the fonts bigger for the quests. Open Elvui from your menu options. Go to to General. Then click on Media. Change the font size according what is better for you., It will show it to you immediately how big. Mar 24, 2010  WoW beastiary addon idea So I've been coming up with an idea for an addon where when you kill and enemy, it unlocks and entry in a 'beastiary' and it explains the drops and percentages, abilities, and any lore if there is any.

XML UI XML elements FontString FontString is an element that allows drawing text in the WoW UI. Like Texture,'FontString' is a LayoutFrame and is placed in a Layer in a Frame. Also Font is a special type for FontString that allows properties to be more easily defined for inheriting or association, rather than using a full FontString in a XML/Ui element for virtual'non-directly visible' instances.

Thorinair'sAddOn Font Manager
Many World of Warcraft AddOns today use a shared library called LibSharedMedia. This allows them to exchange some media data, for instance fonts.
AddOn Font Manager is an AddOn without a user interface which lets the user specify their own fonts which can then be used in many different AddOns. The AddOn also comes with a bunch of pre-loaded fonts for your enjoyment.
Tutorial
Want to add your own font? Here is a simple tutorial:
This AddOn has no user interface. Instead, additional fonts are added by modifying a
specific file. The file is located here:

AddOnFontManagerfonts.lua
  1. Add a .ttf font file to the following folder:
    AddOnFontManagerfonts
  2. Add the following line to the end of fonts.lua file:
    LSM:Register('font', 'FONT NAME', folder .. [[FILENAME.ttf]]
  3. Be sure to replace 'FONT NAME' and 'FILENAME' with appropriate strings, and that the .ttf file has no spaces!
  4. If you have done everything correctly, restart the game, and your new font should appear in many different AddOns!

Compatibility
Considering this AddOn uses LibSharedMedia, a lot of AddOns will gain the new fonts. Considering a vast volume of AddOns using this library, I cannot say which ones for certain, but here are the ones that I confirmed to work:
FAQ
Why did you make this AddOn?
I wanted to use certain fonts (specifically Helvetica) in all kinds of AddOns, but I couldn't find an AddOn that allows something like this. I have seen a few mods that let you change text in the whole game, but this was not what I wanted.
Why is there no user interface?
I wanted to try and keep it as lightweight as possible. On top of that, you would still have to restart the game for the AddOns to pull the new fonts. I tried, and it seems that just reloading doesn't properly load new fonts.
Which fonts come with this AddOn?
Please check the image attached to this AddOn page for more info.
How do I add my own fonts?
Just follow the tutorial provided in this AddOn description, or the readme file.
Some fonts look too ugly/small!
This depends a lot on the part of the interface where you try to apply them. A very small font could actually work great in mods such as Scrolling Combat Text! This is also another reason why I made it so you can load custom fonts. Just get something you truly like!
I found a bug/something is not working.
Just comment here, and I will help you as best as I can to solve it!
Will you be adding more fonts?
I definitely might add more fonts in future.

Adding Fonts, Textures and Sounds through SharedMedia

Wow Font Size Addon Download

AddonFirst Things First
  1. Download and install the SharedMedia AddOn.
  2. If you don't know how to install AddOns, then see this guide: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=10792

Automatic Method (For Windows)
  1. Open the SharedMedia folder (World of Warcraft / Interface / Addons / SharedMedia) and rename MyMedia.bat.txt to MyMedia.bat (make sure you have Windows set to show all file extensions)
  2. Run MyMedia.bat to create the necessary folders
  3. Put your media files into the sub-folders found at: World of Warcraft / Interface / Addons / SharedMedia_MyMedia
  4. Run MyMedia.bat again to create the MyMedia.lua file, which contains the necessary code to register your files
  5. Optional: If you want to edit the in-game name of your newly added media, then open the MyMedia.lua file and change the text in the 2nd set of quotes (see image 5)

Automatic Method: Images
Manual Method
  1. Create a folder named 'SharedMedia_MyMedia' inside your addons folder (World of Warcraft / Interface / Addons / SharedMedia_MyMedia)
  2. Create subfolders named 'background', 'border', 'font', 'sound' and 'statusbar'
  3. Place your media files into the corresponding folders
  4. Create a new text file called 'MyMedia.lua', then remove the .txt from the name so the extension becomes .lua. Open the file and insert the following code:

    Code: Select all

  5. Use the examples below to add information about your newly added media. You should only need to change anything between the lines marked 'START' and 'END'.
  6. Each item of media that you want to add should have its own line that uses the relevant example as a template. To add details about more than one item, just add another line to that section, changing the specific details (eg, the font name and path).
